Social Southwest Florida: Best February 2023 Events

February is here, and we’ve got plenty of events for you to LOVE all around Southwest Florida. Hi, it’s Marcus Larrea with Palm Paradise Real Estate, and I’m excited to tell you about all of the best social events and activities so that you can get the most out of your unique Florida Lifestyle.

Naples Seafood & Music Festival

Kicking off the month of February is the Naples Seafood and Music Festival, beginning Friday, February 3rd, and running through Sunday, February 5th, at the Naples Italian American Club in Naples. Get ready to feast, dance, and be entertained at this annual event, featuring delicious seafood and veggie dishes made with the freshest of ingredients by local restaurants and food vendors and a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to quench your thirst.

As you indulge in your meal, let the sounds of live music wash over you from some of the hottest local and regional musicians, spanning a diverse lineup of rock, R&B, blues, jazz, soul, and more! Take a break from the music and wander through the arts and crafts marketplace, showcasing a wide range of products and fine works of art. Admission is free, and more information can be found in our blog post!

St. Petersburg Motor Classic

Heading further north to St. Petersburg, Florida, on Sunday, February 5th, enjoy an outstanding lineup of vintage and classic automobiles at the annual St. Petersburg Motor Classic at South Straub Park. Hosted by the Car Club of St. Petersburg Yacht Club, this free event is an auto enthusiast’s dream! Take a peek at some of South Florida’s finest competition-grade classic automobiles while exploring the best local restaurants and businesses in the heart of St. Petersburg.

Bonita Springs National Art Festival

The following weekend, head to Riverside Park in Downtown Bonita Springs on Saturday, February 11th, and Sunday, February 12th, for the Bonita Springs National Art Festival. The festival features over 200 national and international artists' work while supporting the many Bonita Springs Centers for the Arts programs. Recognized as one of the top fine arts festivals in the US, 16 categories of art will be shown, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet, talk and buy from the artists. Admission is free, but festival proceeds will support local community art activities. This event is an excellent way to explore the rapidly-growing Downtown Bonita Springs area and support local boutique businesses.

Southwest Florida & Lee County Fair

Closing out the month is the 99th Annual Southwest Florida and Lee County Fair, a Lee County favorite. Opening Thursday, February 23rd, and running through Sunday, March 5th, this fair, held in North Fort Myers, expands in size every year! The Southwest Florida and Lee County Fair strives to offer the local community a safe and fun place to escape the ordinary. From mild to wild, one of the largest assortments of rides will be at the fair, while food, beverage, and entertainment options are endless. Livestock and agricultural displays will also be available for the public to enjoy! Ticket prices and hours of operation will vary on a daily basis, and more information can be found in our blog post!
