This community is so large geographically that it has several subdivisions, like the Materita area, the Avila neighborhood, and the Camarelle area, all of which are excellent places to live.
The most significant amenity at Pelican Preserve is the 27-hole championship Pelican Preserve Golf Club. Plaza del Sol is the community center in Pelican Preserve, which features an amphitheater, a private movie theater, an arts and crafts studio, and a resort-style swimming pool. The plaza also has a pier that extends out into a fully stocked lake, where residents are allowed to fish with a Florida fishing license.
Pelican Preserve draws its name from the 38-acre nature preserve within its boundaries. The preserve has a boardwalk that residents can walk along to enjoy some of the wildlife of southwest Florida.

Seven Lakes
Seven Lakes is a golf and tennis community located in the south part of Fort Myers between Summerlin Road and South Cleveland Avenue. It's a gated neighborhood with nearly 1,100 homes on 180 acres, including the Seven Lakes Golf Course. Construction of Seven Lakes began in 1970, making it one of the first 55+ communities in southwest Florida. Attached villas and condos make up the housing available here.
The 18-hole, par 60 executive golf course within the grounds is available to all residents. The community's clubhouse is the center of activities at Seven Lakes, with multiple card rooms for games, a library, a private movie theater, and a woodworking shop.
