Many arts and cultural experiences are available in Tampa, including the Tampa Museum of Art, the Henry B. Plant Museum, the Tampa Theatre, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, and The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts—and that's just in downtown!
Tampa boasts plenty of parks and green spaces for those looking for an outdoor escape. Picnic Island Park has a beach, boat ramp, playground, fishing, and an off-leash dog park and dog beach. Al Lopez Field, just north of Raymond James Stadium, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play, has nature trails, a community center, and two ponds, one of which allows fishing. Upper Tampa Bay Conservation Park allows visitors to catch glimpses of many forms of wildlife, such as bobcats, gopher tortoises, and red-shouldered hawks.

Tampa School Information
Tampa is part of Hillsborough County Public Schools. This district comprises over 130 elementary schools, over 40 middle schools (several of which are magnet schools), 10 K–8 schools, and around 30 high schools. The district also oversees more than 50 charter schools across all grade levels. Additionally, the district includes a K–12 virtual school, adult learning centers, and technical colleges. The Tampa area has almost 200 public schools serving over 100,000 students.
Tampa also has around 100 private schools, of which roughly 60% are religiously affiliated. Some of Tampa's most popular private schools include Carrollwood Day School, serving grades NS–12; Academy of the Holy Names, serving grades PK–12; and Corbett Preparatory School of IDS, serving grades PK–8.
Higher learning options in Tampa include public and private universities, the most notable of which is the University of Tampa.
